COPPER KIT
Copper is such a beautiful sounding and looking material for drums.
While its the densest, heaviest and most expensive material we use, its also the most refined sounding of all the metals. Toms and Kicks made from Copper have shorter sustains and less overtones. A copper floor tom can weigh around 35 lbs and that high mass translates into a drum that produces a dense fundamental pitch that’s relatively dry with a rolled off top end. The overtones that it does create are very pleasing and its a material that takes a microphone really well, looks beautiful and just sounds incredible in the room. Maybe the least modern sounding of all the metals due to the top end roll off. Many different finish options are available with copper too. Its a favorite material here.
